What to Expect
Six days off-road, from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert.
Designed for curious and creative minds, we travel deep into the heart of Morocco, exploring the three elements at the core of every Red Tour experience: nature, culture and creativity.
Around private candlelit dinners in a four-century-old kasbah, under the stars at our remote desert camp, and through creative workshops, we slow down, explore, and exchange ideas.
We cross the Atlas Mountains — where lush valleys give way to arid, ochre-toned landscapes and rocky desert plateaus. Towering Jurassic-era cliffs rise around us, creating a sense of smallness, humility and suspension in time.
.
Southern Morocco blends ancient earth-built UNESCO sites, desert craftsmanship, and enduring Amazigh traditions. From nomadic heritage to cinematic landscapes, it has long inspired filmmakers, artists, and storytellers.

from civilization
A desert camp just for our group. With no one else around, we share stories with the nomads, gather around the fire, and lose ourselves beneath the Milky Way, stretching overhead like a luminous river.
Desert Crossing
The final approach to the desert camp is done on foot or by camel. A special moment to test your connection to the desert and experience life through a nomadic lens.

Where does the journey start and end?
The expedition starts and ends in Marrakech. We recommend arriving earlier on Day 1 and departing later on Day 6 to allow for a relaxed start and end to the journey. The expedition runs from 10th to 16th March. Can you share the itinerary?
At Red Tour, we strongly believe that the magic is in the journey, not the destination. Instead of sharing every detail upfront, our expeditions are designed to be experienced as they unfold—allowing you to stay present and fully live in the moment, with each day bringing surprises that make the journey truly unforgettable.
Why do we travel in March?
March offers one of the most balanced windows for this route, with more comfortable temperatures and ideal conditions for exploring both mountains and desert landscapes. Daytime temperatures can range from approximately 25–30ºC depending on the region. A detailed packing list will be shared in advance. How isolated will we be?
Some parts of the journey will feel remote, particularly in the desert, but all locations are safely accessible and supported by experienced local teams. You will always remain within reach of assistance if needed. How do I secure my seat on the journey?
To apply for the Sahara expedition, submit your booking request through our website. After that, we’ll invite you to a short 10–15 min call with the Red Tour team. This is a chance to connect, walk you through the experience, and answer any questions. If everything feels aligned after the call, your place is confirmed with a 30% deposit. The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure. Can I cancel my seat when I change my mind?
We understand that plans can change. The deposit is non-refundable, unless your place is filled by another participant. In that case, your deposit will be refunded in full. We will always do our best to help facilitate this.Is it possible to book a private room?
Our expeditions are designed as shared experiences—and that extends to where you stay. Rooms are arranged on a twin-sharing basis, giving you the chance to connect, unwind, and share the journey with fellow travelers. If you’re traveling as a couple, we’ll arrange a double room, and we create a thoughtful room plan that takes personal preferences into account wherever possible.Private rooms may be available upon request, so feel free to reach out in advance if you’d like to explore that option.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Travel insurance is required for all participants. Proof of valid coverage will be requested prior to departure.Do you have a sustainability approach?
We are committed to travelling with awareness and care. Wherever possible, we collaborate with locally owned partners and support initiatives that contribute positively to the local economy. We also encourage our guests to travel mindfully and provide guidance on respectful and responsible tourism throughout the journey.
