Tabe to Wae Rebo
Behind the Lens
“After nearly eight hours of traversing rugged terrain, the view of Wae Rebo village unfolded before us like a hidden sanctuary nestled in the heart of Flores. Standing at the edge of this remote haven felt like stepping into a mystical world untouched by time. With reverence, we approached the community leader at the main house, humbly uttering 'tabe,' a request not only to enter their homes but to be welcomed into a realm rich with tradition, culture, and breathtaking beauty. This image captures the essence of that moment—a doorway to a place where time slows, and the spirit of the land and its people are intertwined.”
